SEA-KING POLICE ACADEMY - 1998

Seattle, WA

Keeping memories alive; Class 485

Seattle Police Academy, Sandpoint, 1998โ€”Back when being a police officer was the BEST JOB IN THE WORLD.

Ah, the good old daysโ€”Seattle Police Academy at Sand Point, 1998. Back when we were running drills, shining boots, and praying we wouldnโ€™t get smoked by the TAC officers. We learned how to make an arrest, control a suspect, drive, shoot, collect evidence, fight and survive the streets, all while trying not to laugh when someone messed up their radio traffic or had a snot string from their nose to their feet from OC.

It was a time when the city still had some fight left in it, when we trained with pride, and it actually meant something.

Looking back, those were the days. It breaks my heart to see what has become of this once beautiful city and this once-incredible department. But Iโ€™ll always cherish the memories, the friendships, and the moments that made us who we are.

A LOT of good memories in this videoโ€”enjoy!
