🎉 Mike’s 52nd birthday on August 12th was a wild ride from start to finish! 🎉
First off, our never-ending hunt for the ultimate steak and fish finally paid off at Budd’s Broiler in Richland. 🥩🐟 I’m telling you, that fish was so damn good I’m still dreaming about it. And Mike? He was practically swooning over his steak. We’ve been on this quest for years, and this place nailed it. 💯 Sure, it cost us $200, but when it’s your birthday, you go big or go home, right? 💸
After that mouthwatering meal, we decided to up the ante with a trip to the Escape Room for some virtual reality madness. We jumped into the “Time Travel Paradox,” where our mission was to save the planet from some deranged mad scientist. 🌍 Easy peasy, right? We’re bouncing between 1988 (a.k.a. the best year ever) and 2040, where the world’s on the brink of apocalypse. No pressure. 😱
Here’s the kicker: in the VR room, it’s just you, your goggles, and a whole lot of nothing. If you get too close to the wall, your goggles light up red like you’re about to crash. 🚨 So, there I am in 2040, feeling like a total badass, trying to yank glow sticks out of a huge case (we’re talking laser-sized big). No red warnings, so I’m in the clear—or so I thought. Next thing I know, I’m leaning on this invisible cabinet (because, duh, it’s not real), and I take a full-on chin-first nosedive straight into the wall. 🤦♀️
I walked in feeling like a badass and stumbled out looking like a jackass. 🤷♀️ The employee comes running in, probably thinking I’ve knocked myself out cold, but I’m just on the floor, laughing my ass off because I hit that wall. HARD. 😂 The guy must’ve pitied me because he gave us extra time and clues, so we still managed to save the world. 🌟
But wait, it gets better. Halfway home, my phone lights up with a notification, and what do I see? Security footage of my epic faceplant. 🤣 I’ve rewatched it at least 100 times and it’s still freaking hilarious. So, here’s a little gift from me to you—enjoy the show. 🎥 You’re welcome.
