Introducing Dragonfyre: My New Laser, a Beast with a Purpose
Meet Dragonfyre, my new 100W CO2 Omtech laser that I named after my friend Becca. Becca was a kickass police detective in Athens, Georgia, who tragically ended her life last year. Dragonfyre was her IG handle, and it just felt right to carry her fire-forward spirit with me through this absolute monster of a machine. Becca loved fire and was a total pro with edge weapons, so this laser, which slices and burns through anything in its path, feels like she’s still here, doing what she did best—raising hell in the best way possible.
Let me tell you, this isn’t just any laser—Dragonfyre is a straight-up beast. We’re talking about a machine that can turn wood, acrylic, and pretty much anything else you throw at it into art. Personalized pet figurines? Check. Charcuterie (aka “shark coochie”) boards? You bet. Coasters, patches, engraved pens and pencils? Yep, add those to the list. And the list keeps growing, much like my ever-expanding collection of introvert hobbies.
Now, let’s get real about the learning curve here—it’s been steep. I didn’t take any fancy courses or have some guru guide me. Nope, I taught myself everything via YouTube, one late-night video at a time. I’ve basically turned into a laser-wielding, fire-starting, YouTube-educated wizard. And when I say fire-starting, I mean it—I’ve had about 10 fires so far. But hey, what’s a little flame between friends, right? LOL.
Dragonfyre isn’t just a tool—it’s my tribute to Becca, a way to keep her spirit alive and kicking. Every time I fire up this laser, it’s like I’m channeling her energy, her love for fire, and her fierce determination. So if you’re looking for something that’s not just unique but also carries a little bit of badassery and a whole lot of heart, Dragonfyre and I have got you covered. Whether it’s a custom pet figurine, a killer patch, or one of my infamous shark coochie boards, I’m all over it.
And if a few things go up in flames along the way? Well, that’s just part of the journey.
